A place to gather and celebrate.

The Downeyville Hall is a cultural centre for the community providing opportunities for all ages to experience artistic, cultural and heritage events. Many celebrate the area's Irish heritage through traditional music and dance.

Through concerts and events, time-honoured skills and knowledge are being transferred from one generation to the next, engaging children and young people in local culture and preserving this community's rich musical legacy.

According to the 2013 Canadian Community Health Survey "the feeling of being part of the greater whole is essential to healthy and vibrant communities." The hall serves this need with public and private events, such as:

• annual Irish and Christmas concerts
• the Downeyville Jamboree
• community breakfasts and dinners
• weddings, birthday and anniversary parties
